Riley Matthews went to Las Vegas for her best friend and her Uncle's joint Bachelor/Bachelorette party, but fearing that she would never find happiness she hides out in the hotel bar drinking away her sorrows. While there she meets a handsome stranger with a proposition that would change her life. Billionaire Businessman Lucas Friar went to Vegas for a business meeting, but after being denied the CEO position at his family's company, for being known as a player/heart-breaker, he comes up with a plan to win them over if only he find the perfect "wife" to play the part. One year was all he asked for, once the clock strikes twelve on their one year anniversary they would go their separate ways. But what happens with they start to fall for one another?

Yeah, we are so different, but I couldn't care less. She's a fighter and I am what she refers to as a 'goody goody'. She's aggressive and I'm passive. I'm submissive, a good portion of the time and she takes control, she's never afraid and I am afraid of one thing. Lucas just moved from Austin to Burleson. With school starting he has to adjust to his new school, new friends, new job and it's his Senior Year. He was pretty sure this year was going to be terrible, until he met his tour guide, Riley.

Lucas worked hard all of his life protecting his family. During the day he works at his security firm, at night he runs a bar in New York with his best friend and his sister, making sure that no one interferes in his business, or assaults his customers. Riley thought she had everything she could have wished for cool friends a boyfriend who cared too much and loving parents, except she didn't know what she wanted from her life. Her life never felt like it was hers. She saw graduate school as a way to learn more about the world and about herself. Until they met and realized there was much more to the world than what they had thought they knew.

After 3 years Lucas Friar mysteriously reappears back into Riley Matthew's life. Much to her dismay. Since he spent 5 years seemingly torturing her, he's back and has no intention of leaving her alone again. Only this time in a slightly... different way. I'm hoping this is all a dream." I state with an arch of the eyebrow. He simply laughs at my misfortune, the jerk! "How did you get all the same classes as me? Let me rephrase that, how did you know what all my classes are?" He shrugs innocently, though that is the furthest thing that Lucas Friar is. "I don't know what you're talking about Riles." I have this rated as Mature for precautionary purposes since i'm not yet done writing the story. It will probably change by the time i'm done.
