Writing a story that's set in my mom's decade is sort of a challenge but it's possible. I saw the movie, and I didn't expect to start having a thing for David, but he drew me in at first sight. I expected to be cautious of anyone suspicious or avoid taking short cuts through dark allies. Although it was the murder capital of the world, I wasn't quite sure what I would find there. I certainly didn't expect to find any vampires. They were a myth, right?
