They say that ignorance is bliss..... How true that turned out to be for High-school student, Max Durellson. But that all comes crashing down when a violent gang chase Max into the forest with the intention to kill him, only for someone to save his life last-second. Except Max's saviour wasn't human...... but rather a terrifying cryptid that spares his life that faithful night...... Together, alongside his best friends Scott and Kyra, his gothic kid-sister sister Brooklyn "Gothi" Durrellson, his tomboy cousin Mei and his crush Christina, Max and the gang form the Cryptid hunters, a group dedicated to tracking cryptids, sometimes fighting them and occasionally having to kill them if they pose a threat to the greater good. Will Max and his crew be able to help humanity and Cryptids, and maybe track the Cryptid that saved Max? Or will they become a cryptid's next meal? Based on myths, urban legends and folklore. Ethan, Accalia, and Selene must push the boundaries of their physical self and powers to protect themselves and each other. The sinister plans of the Institute begin to unfold all around the trio, and one of them isn't what they appear to be. Will they be a friend or foe? Follow Ethan, Accalia, and Selene as they try to live their life with danger around every corner.

Book 1 of the Light Series: The world is black and white, plain and simple. Black represents bad, and white is good. Some people like to think there's an in-between, and even if there is, how do you find the balance?
