Books were to entertain, and it certainly wasn't entertaining to read about war and death. If the Prince truly wanted to see that, he would simple look outside. If he wanted to hear about that, he would ask his father about the latest beheading. Books were supposed to be an escape from that. What angered Wilbur more, however, were *love* stories. Especially ones like 'Romeo and Juliet.' He despised those with a burning passion. It's not like Wilbur didn't like the concept of 'love'. No... that's far from it. He just hated the clichés. Not to mention books containing love AND sadness. He'd never pick up the book again. The 'love you could never have but you'd risk everything for it' trope was absolute insanity to Wilbur. But, who knew, with a comical amount of irony, that his life was about to turn into what he loathed the most. - or - Wilbur and Quackity learn what true love feels like. Lived behind its tall stone brick walls, trapped in his paradise, where all his needs could be met. He's been kept behind the walls for years, all for his safety. Sam and Ponk, the kings of their kingdom, had kept him hidden from the public in case someone wished to harm their son. After his first lover scared his face he had hated his face. So, when the time came for Quackity to start his journey to the thrown his parents recommended a masquerade ball to make the prince more comfortable being around everyone. When a tall and very forward British man came up to him, asking for a dance, he gladly accepted, and now desperately wants to get him back in his life.
