Y/N was an orphan in every sense of the word. Both of her parents had died shortly after her birth, leaving her to the people of the Omaticaya clan. They knew she was special and held a great connection with Ewya. Once she started being found around the Sully kids, Jake and Neytiri knew they needed to have a discussion. At just a year old, the Sully's welcomed her into their home. Not as their child however, even if Jake was her father figure. They were the only family she knew, even if she didn't see them as her own. Growing up, Kiri and Y/N had a special bond. One that Kiri's own siblings couldn't counter.
