Katsuki Bakugou was almost completely deaf. He could barely hear his own explosions anymore, but that didn't stop him from trying to become a pro hero. He couldn't wait to prove everyone wrong when they said he couldn't be a hero because of his hearing loss. He manages to pass the UA entrance exams and gets accepted, along with his childhood friend, Midoriya. They're placed in class 1-A with the luck that the home room teacher actually knows asl. The transition from middle school to high school isn't the smoothest. Navigating through high school and the pro hero world is hard for someone with all five senses, let alone someone who couldn't hear. Katsuki stumbles... a lot. When Midoriya catches him staring at the duel haired boy in their class during training, he's quick to tease him for it. They sign quickly, Katsuki's movements for aggressive than normal. They gain the attention of Shoto Todoroki, who in turn, stares back. It was obvious that they were signing about him, but he had no clue what they were saying. Katsuki catches on to the staring and signs at him, even though he can't understand. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Katsuki turns to the taller boy, clearly in a pissed off mood. "Yes, I am signing about you." He signs at him, knowing that he won't understand him anyway. Midoriya's laugh was heard through the training ground as he saw what his friend signed. Shoto looked at him, completely lost. "He says that yes, he is signing about you." He translated. Understanding takes over Shoto's features as Katsuki realizes what Midoriya must have just done. When Akaashi's boss, Bokuto, hires Kageyama as an assistant for the cake shop, Akaashi is less than enthused, especially with a big wedding cake order to fill. But as he works with Kageyama, he notices some strange behaviors that set off red flags- not to mention the bruises that litter the boy's body.

Kageyama is a nihilist ; someone who believes that all life is pointless and refuses to connect with anything. Oikawa is an optimist ; he always sees the good side of things and sees waking up in the morning as potential for a new day of new things. They shouldn't mix well, but Oikawa is certain he can change Kageyama's trainwreck of a life. [Highest Rank: #3 in Oikage]

Haikyuu alternate universe Timeline: After nationals ______ Karasuno gets invited to another training camp in Tokyo. Kageyama ends up with an injury the day before they are supposed to leave and is unable to go. On his way back home, he meets the one person he wants to stay far far away from. Oikawa Tooru. Against his will, he has to stay with his senior who he shares a mutual dislike with. But as time passes, past feelings come back to haunt him and he slowly and gradually falls for Tooru. He decides to tell Oikawa before leaving for the training camp as their relationship gets better but he discovers something that leads him to believe Tooru played a cruel joke on him and he runs away heartbroken. ______ This is my first time writing a Haikyuu fan fiction. I love this ship so much and I was upset there were so few works with Oikage, I decided to create one of my own. Writing this story was so much fun and I hope I did a good job with it.
