This is the first volume of The Sonder Chronicles (TSC). Victor Agosti seems to be an average sixteen year old boy. And, for the most part, he is! What no one knows about Victor is that he has a rather odd ability-- just by exchanging eye contact, he can tell exactly how someone will die. This has led him to covering his eyes with his hair and avoiding eye contact all together. Knowing exactly how the ones around him will die one day puts a damper on his day-to-day life; covering his eyes was the only solution he could think of. One day while working at his job at a local diner, Victor mistakenly glances into his coworker's eyes and realizes that he cannot see her fate. Intrigued, he wants to learn more about this mysterious girl.
