I'm different. That explains me. Period. You don't have to know my name, because you already know it if you're from around. I'm the, what they call it, laughing stock of District Twelve at my old school. People don't necessarily laugh at me, they just stare. Every since that one day when I was ten, I've known I was different. People started pointing it out, I started changing as I got older, after that one day. Not just normal girl changes, horrible, painful changes that I never thought existed. Even my younger, sweeter sister thought I was going crazy, thought I was a lunatic. And I probably was at the time as I couldn't control it. But I learned to it as I understood more. But I soon met a boy, a nice looking guy who looked as if he thought I was normal. But I was wrong. I was so wrong, it was all a lie. I changed my mind when he took me there, there being some place I didn't want to go but I knew I had to if I wanted help, if I wanted to be protected.
