But today, it takes Theo forever to wake Boris who is red-nosed and feverish. He wished he'd made Boris stay home before he got worse.

The first time Boris took out the umbrella, Theo had been confused. The last time he put it away, Theo finally felt like he didn't need it anymore.

One night Theo awakes to find Boris glassy-eyed and mute, sulking by his window.
