Sequel di "Ragione di vita" Chuuya si mette seduto, vicino al moro, e si stropiccia gli occhi. Appena toglie le mani, i suoi occhi azzurri incontrano gli occhi castagna di Dazai. Il tempo sembra fermarsi, ogni cosa nel mondo pare cessare di muoversi. I pensieri dei ragazzi, terribilmente contrastanti, hanno l'aria di non appartenere più unicamente alla loro mente. I suoi occhi sono così accesi. I suoi occhi sono così spenti.
