--JUNE 2021 EDITOR'S PICK-- In a near future where neuroprosthetics have evolved, Nina--a young journalist--receives a hippoccampal implant after losing the ability to create long term memories. All seems well until memories that don't seem to be her own begin to surface. Now, Nina must find the truth behind these memories while struggling not to lose herself in them.

Give a man a gun and he'll rob a bank. Give a man a bank and he'll rob the world. - People play games. I play God. People fall to there knees and beg. I cock a loaded gun. People forgive. I don't give second chances. This is what puts me on top and keeps them at the bottom. Why I rule and they look up at me. But everything could slip though my fingers. I have made my heart stone hard, my mind focused, and it could be lost. All because of a shy, timid, meek girl I was arranged to marry.

this is a light read, but thats not true because this short story could make smile, cry and laugh, i wrote this because i was feeling really down, and writing is my way of coping with pain, so please enjoy my 2 am ramble about a boy named Eli.

Desperate for a break from her demanding job, Lilith is convinced to check into the Wellness Center for a week. Curious as to how effective the center is, she decides to keep a diary while she's there. As Lilith's week at the Wellness Center draws to a close, however, she is suddenly told that she is too "diseased" to leave. Her stay is extended, and her treatments are enhanced. Slowly, Lilith starts to see a darker side of the Wellness Center.
