This is a second view point from my original story - A Different Virus - Heartfire. I highly advise reading the original book first. Intro: Laura was a happy child without a care in the world. She loved her parents and life was perfect. Nothing seemed like it could go wrong. People started talking about a bad flu that was spreading and sending some into a coma. Her parents grew worried and stocked the house in case of a pandemic. Months later another virus appeared. Her family was shocked when the news people started reporting that zombies were actually real and not just part of a horror movie. They were appearing in every country. Her parents reassured her that none of the zombie sightings had been anywhere close to them. Her life is turned upside down when her father ends up in hospital with the bad flu and mother exiles her upstairs for her safety. She was never allowed downstairs again. Weeks pass and the streets become deserted with the exception of the red eyed zombies that wandered around. One night she notices a swiftly moving figure with glowing blue eyes in the street below. Should she call out or remain silent? Is this fleeting shadow something that can help her or could this mysterious figure be even more dangerous than the zombies themselves? ---------------------- Ranked #1 Apr 10, 2018 (A huge thank you to all who read and voted!) This story is copyright and built from my own imagination. This book was a special request from someone who helped me a lot. This viewpoint has less action than the original. My eyes were literally glowing, there was no mistaking it. It was not a reflection of light, or any of the other excuses I had used or others had assumed. They were glowing a light sapphire blue color. It was not a bright glow, but it was definitely a glow. Glowing eyes were not normal. Okay, at this point I had to admit it, I was no longer normal. What was I then? For that, I had no answer [[Word count: 495,000]] Copyright August 2016. All Rights Reserved. Readers may not copy, alter, or steal this story. Ever since I first spawned I've been a strange mob. Unlike any of the others whom crowd the night. They all call me a glitch, a mistake and a disgrace to mobs everywhere. But heres the thing, I know I'm not one, cause if I were I'd of been deleted from the world by now and if I am then why haven't I? Mobs don't have personal names. Only the names given to them by Crafters. I myself have neither, so I named my species and myself. My name is Stefinie Z. The first Zombie Girl ever.

Winter has arrived. It has been nearly one year since the zombie hordes claimed the world. As the plague eats away at its victims' bodies, the Fox survivors search for a safe place to rebuild what they have lost. But a dangerous new threat has risen, hunting them from every direction. To survive, Cash, Clutch, and their small band of refugees must put their faith in a group of strangers and a new government with radical plans. It will take all of the Fox survivors' strength and courage to endure in this barren, hostile world. Even that might not be enough. Deadland Rising, the conclusion of the Deadland Saga, is a journey through Dante Alighieri's "Paradiso", the tale on the seven virtues, reimagined zombie apocalypse style! Odashen. Kamdemahn. Giant's Bane. Oldest One. On the worlds of the Avatar Alliance I am called many names and I am considered many things. Some see me as a holy warrior with a purpose so powerful, not even Death can stop me. Others think me a tormented wanderer, driven mad by a horrible fate and left to travel the wastes for eternity. Yet others see me as a soulless creature of otherworldly vengeance, returning from the grave to wreak havoc on my enemies. From my point of view, I am ALL of these things. Yet, I am none of them. My name is Max Niekro and I am Risen. I have been summoned back from the grave for one purpose and one purpose alone. I'm here to kill Velkin. Join the Risen juggernaut in this sequel to Risen: Darklight and the third book in the Risen saga as he continues his quest to defend Earth and the living of the galaxy by taking his war to the stars, where he will face even greater challenges to his effort to rid the universe of the rapacious Velkin, a giant alien race bent on consuming every living sentient being they find before sucking out their home world's life force.

Following humanity's disastrous discovery of sentient extraterrestrial life, and with public opinion rapidly moving towards blaming the "aggressive nature" of Naval High Command as being the reason why first contact with an alien culture resulted in hundreds of deaths, the former cadets of Flight Methuselah are given shore leave while the INS Heinlein is stripped of her University Frigate designation and outfitted as the warship she was originally meant to be. Taking on a complete crew and the final phase of the Navy's long-range fighter experiment, Project Baskerville, the Heinlein's first objective as part of the active fleet is set just a day after Methuselah settles in for their vacation when another alien ship appears on the fringes of explored space and ambushes the Tiaha Migrant Fleet, birthplace of one of their own. With little time to recover from their own losses, the new marines of Flight Methuselah head back into space to escort the Tiaha fleet to the Lalande Repair Yards in Colonial territory, discovering along the way that not all of humanity was as unaware of the existence of the incursion aliens as they had once believed. INCURSION VECTOR is the sequel to CADET FLIGHT METHUSELAH. Currently updating on Mondays.

Written as a companion novel to Risen and Risen: Darklight, Echoes of War tells us what the echoes, psychic reverberations of violent deaths that appear as ghosts and led by the incomparable Hannibal Barca of ancient Carthage, are doing between the major engagements of the two books. Which is a combination of learning both how to fight in a modern war while NOT killing each other as old conflicts arise with the return of memory. See how Hannibal begins to craft his determined volunteer ghosts into the formidable fighting force that plays a key role in not only the various raids the Risen engage in, but the assault on the siphon and the alpha tournament as well. He may only be an echo of his former self, but the former general is still one hell of a commander of soldiers! Join him and the echoes as they prepare to go to war against the Velkin.
