(This story is a BL romance, and has been put on hiatus. I will be unpublishing this story this summer after my classes are done so I can begin heavily rewriting it. In the meantime, you can read my other BL story, Being a Noble Is Harder Than It Seems, which is an otome isekai with a much healthier couple). Sun Hui always thought his life was pretty mundane but easygoing, until one day that life was suddenly ripped away from him. Stuck inside a place known as Xinghai Space, he is forced to play the roles of cannon fodders that all meet terrible ends. After completing several lifetimes, his AI stops working and the master who was pulling his puppet strings has vanished and relinquished control. Still stuck in Xinghai Space, but with freewill this time, Sun Hui decides to make a difference. He vows to use his new awareness to help others and bring justice to those who deserve it instead of being a bystander. This is his vengeance for having his life taken from him for so long. Until then, he can only hope to get back home. He never expected to fall in love as part of his plan. Disclaimers/Warnings: • This book is a loose fanfic of "Quickly Wear the Face of the Devil" by Fengliu Shudai. • This is my first BL story. It may be unrealistic and poorly written. • I am not Chinese. I tried my best to do research, but this book will not be 100% culturally accurate until I have someone who is actually Chinese look it over for mistakes. • This book has triggers. The first arc is a bully romance, and it has a non-con/dub-con scene in the first arc. After that one scene, the rest are consensual. I explain the triggers in greater detail in the book. I do NOT support or romanticize the triggers. • You can read an (unfinished) alternate version of Arc One on my Wattpad account if you don't like the toxic relationship. • I don't own any of the photos in this book. I got them all from Google Images or Pinterest. Credit goes to the original artists

In a clash of academic focus and coastal freedom, a geology student and a surfer unearth unexpected passion between the fossil-rich cliffs and rolling waves of a picturesque college town. ***** Geology student Charlie Hill and surf-enthusiast Hazel MacDowell have little in common apart from the fact that Hazel's father is Charlie's favorite professor. Sparks fly, and soon their rivalry becomes a romance, but a closely-held secret soon puts their budding relationship to the test.
