In the Sapphire Kingdom, Nani Hirunkit Changkam enjoys an idyllic, carefree existence. Shielded from the toxic grasp of royal politics and raised in a supportive, egalitarian ducal family, Nani dedicates his life to his true passion - apothecary.
He runs a popular clinic in the North, treating nobles and commoners alike with the kindness and respect his parents instilled in him. Beloved by the people and deeply content with his books, his work, and his nieces and nephews, Nani's life is picture-perfect.
However, Nani's tranquil world is shattered when his obsession with apothecary ultimately leads to his kidnapping.
When Nani and his captor finally met face-to-face, Nani held his ground, glaring at the man.
"Who are you? Why did you bring me here?" Nani demanded, keeping his voice steady despite the circumstances. "If you need a physician, you can just visit my clinic and be treated. You don't need to go to the extreme lengths of kidnapping me. Or is there another reason? But if my memory serves me right, I don't have any clash with anyone."
The man simply smirked, leaning back as his eyes slowly and deliberately took in the physician's features. "Treatment? Hardly," he replied, his tone dripping with arrogant amusement. "I am just completely allured by your beauty. I never thought I'd be able to see a man so lovely. It piqued my interest and curiosity."
Finding his captor's words highly inappropriate and perverted-especially the casual, entitled way he spoke to him-Nani didn't hesitate. Staying true to his family's rule of never allowing oneself to be disrespected, he stepped forward and delivered a swift, stinging slap across the face of his captor.
