Bruce Yamada is new in North Denver and accidentally messes with Vance Hopper, the boy every kid fears.

This is basically Bruce and Vance's love story in 2004 and this is part if the Rinney story but this is in the past and this is three years before the current year 2007, now time to explain. Vance was born in Paris but moved to Denver with his mother while his father stayed (there is an explanation which will be said in a farther chapter) and Vance is a new kid who is in sophomore year along with everyone else beside Griffin (freshman) and Gwen (8th grade/middle schooler) and he meets the group. Vance and Robin become besties after a month (yuh) and Bruce and Vance get together on the date they met. (9-13-05) They meet on this date but the year before (obv). Vance can also speak french so when him and Robin have "fights" (funny friend arguments) they go full out yelling at each other in their own language (which will be translated sometimes). Ages: Vance-15 1/2, Bruce-15, Robin-15 1/2, Finn-15, Billy-15, Griffin-14, Gwen-12 1/2. (Late birthday for Gwen) Vance is taller than everyone (in the friend group) Robin is almost as tall. Slurs, swearing, sexual stuff or whatever will be at the top.

Vance Hopper and Bruce Yamada had always been at odds with each other. They were complete opposites - where Bruce was a friendly well behaved kid and loved by most, Vance on the other hand was short tempered and loathed by almost everyone in town. Where Bruce loved the outdoors, Vance preferred to stay inside. Where Bruce was always joking around, Vance took everything seriously. It wasn't that they disliked each other - in fact, they never actually had a one on one talk with each other - but there was an undeniable tension between them that neither could quite put their finger on.
