Serena Brooks is one tough cookie. She had no friends or technically family. She strives on what she can't do. Her life in Florida was hell. In fact her family in Florida was hell. It pushes her to do the unbelievable. Later in the story she moves to Maywood, Utah; a small little town. It moves part of her family closer, she makes friends,, she meets a special someone who she can't help but fall for him as he catches her, and she gets a job! You can say her live had gotten a whole lot better. Or had it?
