If Tyler Scott knows something in life is that you only give proper worth to something when you finally lose it. Or as Passenger sings, he only needed the light when it was burning low. He only missed the sun when it started to snow. He only knew he had been high when he was feeling low. He only hated the road when he was missing home. He only knew he loved her when he let her go. ©Copyright 2016. cover by silverfinger-

In every stupid and cliché teen fiction story, there's always the blonde cheerleader that people think is a complete bitch and acts as the sinister antagonist of the story. Sorry to disappoint, but I'm that blonde cheerleader that people think is a complete bitch and acts as the sinister antagonist of the story. Is it my fault that I was born with this hair color or with the blue eyes? Is it my fault that I worked hard to be the leader of the cheer team? And how come there's always this goody-two-shoes who comes in and rains on my parade? Let's list off the criteria: Blonde? Obviously. Blue eyes? Like, as you say, "a reflection of the ocean" Cheerleader? Complete with the uniform. Bimbo? My grades beg to differ. A bitch? I'm not even going to deny it. Antagonist? Well, I'll let you be the judge of that.

Meet Cassie Marshall. Just your average 17 year old girl. Its her senior year, and she has decent grades, a small, but close group of friends, and she's... well, awkward, ...... and antisocial. Her idea of a fun Friday night includes some youtube videos, Netflix, pizza, and sweatpants. If she's feeling really wild and crazy, she might even throw in a Sarah Dessen book! Sounds totally fun, right? I mean sure she's never had a boyfriend, and yes, she's never had her first kiss, but who needs that when you have Nutella? Unfortunately her friends think her Friday nights of fun should be replaces with parties and "priceless" high school memories. Like who even needs that? Not only that, but they are also convinced she needs a BOYFRIEND! As in a human of the opposite gender that she has to spend time with, voluntarily. Ummmmm, HELLOOOO? Have they ever even met her? Against her will, they start to drag her our of her tiny teenage turtle shell. She didn't think she would enjoy it, and she's not saying she does, but it's not half as bad as she imagined. As she starts to explore more of the world around her, she discovers part of herself she didn't know existed, and possibly someone new along the way.
