Virgil hates his life. He wishes things were different for him, but at the same time he thinks he deserves to suffer. He had a cruddy childhood with parents who didn't love him, and he had no friends. Everyone makes fun of him because of how beaten and scrawny he is, he even has a school bully. That's what a normal kid/teenager's life should be like in his eyes. One day, he decides to give up. He decides to jump from the school roof- which is at least 8 storys high, so everyone could see what they do to him. He looked out at the view and sighed. Just to think it will all be over soon. He took one last look then got on the railing. He leaned out and fell. But then..... Someone grabbed his hand....

Virgil has always been misunderstood, being the youngest and most negative emotion in Thomas, has its tool. While the others yell at him for making Thomas feel bad they have no idea what he has been taking on by himself. For every little negative emotion Thomas feels virgil filters it and takes the brunt if not all the pain, when someone insults him, he doesnt fight back...because he agrees with them. He agrees when they call him useless, idiotic, or a waste of space. It's one thing to be the best rider in the riding school's team. It's one thing to have the most expensive, impressive horse in the stables. It's a whole other thing, however, to connect with him - especially after a nearly-fatal accident that transpired the year before, an accident that seems to have set a wall between the rider and his trusty steed.
