Cross now a royal guard is determined to not be like the other royal guards, who quit after finding out that the prince was 'childish'. Cross swore promises to the soon to be King... and he plans to succeed in protecting the prince.

Nightmare has grown weary of the constant strife between himself and his brother. Every time he manages to fuel the ever-persistent need for negativity in his system, Dream and his friends immediately sap it out of him. So, Nightmare has decided he was done. If they believed the multiverse was better without negativity, he was okay with that. He'd well descended past apathy years ago. Concerned and unaware of who he was or his reputation, Farmer takes him away to heal him. Now Horror finds himself stuck with Farmer as he recovers. Can this be a change for the better? Can Horror learn a healthier life where he doesn't have to fight for his stay? Can this stay with Farmer teach him genuine care and compassion that he lost in his AU?
