Katie "Blaze" Blackwood, daughter of Charlie Blackwood is a fighter pilot, much like those her mother was surrounded by when she was Katie's age. Katie got into the Navy, and became best friends with Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw, and graduated second in her class. They both ended up going to Top Gun together. One day, when she gets called back to Top Gun, she reunites with all her former classmates. What happens when her best friend comes back and everything is different.
