The Avengers hack into S.H.I.E.L.D. to find information about Tesseract weapons. What they find, instead, is the god that used it haunt their nightmares... Loki sat with his hands in his lap, hanging his head. He was fiddling with the handcuffs around his wrists. "Loki," Loki looked up, and he looked disturbed. A man was staring at him, smirking, with a needle in his hand. "Are you ready to comply?" What? What the hell? What the hell? Would shield do this? Why would they need to? Ready to comply? What? He though he was already doing that. "What?" Loki asked. The man walked closer, and injected the need into Loki's arm. Loki squirmed, but stopped, and his eyes rolled back into his head. Something's happened to Loki! He's no longer an adult, but a 10-year-old boy, with no memory of the Destroyer, New York, or anything pertaining to his evil actions! Thor brings him to earth to be raised with the Avengers in Stark Tower, hoping that contact with them will help him grow up to be a good god. But, will the Avengers accidentally let his crimes in New York slip out? Will the evil that reduced the great God of Mischief to this, come back for him? If it does, will the Avengers save him, or leave him to his fate?

There's been a mistake. How could I have slipped through S.H.I.E.L.D.'s grasp so easily? Yet I, Loki Laufeyson, is on the run yet again from the Midgardian secret organization. It was easy to escape, but it could be nearly impossible to stay hidden. Without the protection of Asgard or the Bifrost, I'll be like a normal Midgardian, maybe I'll even have to impersonate one to stay away. But one thing's for sure; the Tesseract must stay hidden, away from the hands of one greedy, mad titan. And one more minor thing; I must not die. Not again, at least.

After the attack on New York, Loki's mind is deteriorating, due to mental manipulation. Thor decides it best to search for help on Midgard. He won't let Loki go completely insane.
