But this isn't a story about Devon, Devon had her time in the sun. We've been missing out on her best friend's side. And her best friend, Riley, has had a lot going on. This story is about Riley, a transgender man on his journey to figure himself out and find love with a girl named Luce and probably about a million other things he has going on.

Most of us are familiar with the idea of an afterlife, and whether or not you believe in it has no importance to this story, because this is about something called the Beforelife. Before someone is born into our world they spend time in limbo, watching the world they are going to be born into and spending times with their future friends and family. When they are born, they lose all of their memories of the Beforelife. And this is something Matthew will not tolerate, not when the love of his life, Logan, is stuck in the Beforelife for another 700 years. Matthew bargains for his memories and is determined to find a way to become immortal so he can meet Logan again someday.

Their gods cursed them, took away the ability to bring life into their world and would have been willing to watch them die out. But their goddess saved them, she built a temple, a temple that sent children to them. Children would appear in that temple, knowing nothing of the world, and families would take them in. The four gods wouldalso build a temple that would do this as well. These temples created the Holy Lands, owned only by the gods and no wars would occur on this land.
