When Avalina Bennett and her family spent the summer at the Beaumont Country Club, she was sure her summer had been ruined before it even started. Her brother had dropped out of University and had turned to a rebellious party lifestyle. Her parents spent more time arguing than they did controlling every part of her life, and her younger sister was so detached from her family she was barely there at all. All she wanted was a peaceful summer with no trouble, but while her Father smiled his way into getting a promotion and her Mother tried to pair her with the Club Owner's son, Avalina couldn't imagine handling an entire summer there. Cue Elliot Black. Sweet, sexy, sophisticated employee at the club who just happened to be the reason she stayed. #32 in Teen Fiction (24/4/16) Featured on Teen Fiction List (14/3/16) ~ July 2017 TRIGGER WARNING : DRUG REFERENCES.

Not. Her Dad wants her enrol into her older sister's school, which is filled with snobs, that she absolutely hates, because: 1. One thing I'll always remember is my parents saying "Everyone has a story" "Everyone has a story with a past, tragic or not. Everyone has a story that is meant to go unjudged, even if it was never told" But sometimes we forget that. Like when I though that my guardian was the devil. Even though he taught me how to laugh, how to protect, and even possible how to love. I only asked one thing "Why?" I still remember the one phrase that changed my life"Let me carry her" This one single and normal phrase was said by none other than Cooper Kingsley, our school's and town's bad boy. He was the championship boxer who drove a motorcycle and got into trouble frequently. He's the guy with brown hair that looked soft enough to run my fingers through, the guy with irresistible cold blue eyes and the guy with a built and strong body that made girls crazy. He wasn't your typical player either; no he was just hard to get- A complete tease. And the fact that he would volunteer to help a girl like this, was not normal. So what did Cooper Kingsley want anything to do with the bland and boring me? I was completely and utterly average. Or so I thought. So why did the devil suddenly become my guardian? Let's find out. I watched Reese lips move as he read out the contents of the letter, then I watched everyone's faces as they took in the words that were coming off the paper. As I looked around the small group, I realized that these were the people that I had no choice but to depend on for awhile, and one of them was going to get hurt. It didn't matter if we did everything right, someone was bound to get hurt in this game and I couldn't help but to feel like it would be all my fault.
