Trafalgar Law is a 26 year old medical student. His first day working on the emergency room changed his life forever, as he meets someone who will become very special to him: Monkey D. Luffy.

Everyone gets marks at least once in their lifetime. It's just a matter of when. Marks can appear red, or black, the marks aren't set in stone. They're subject to change, they can disappear, change color, or even scar. A black mark means feelings on all sides are mutual, red means the love is unrequited, and well, a scar comes from a mark dying. Law is not one easily persued, he's never gotten a mark, and finds them to be, putting it frankly, a load of crap. How could some inexplainable mark on the skin determine love anyway? Luffy, on the other hand, loves so much. He's had four marks, all of which have scared. Luffy has been through a lot, he's convinced himself marks are cursed in the past. But this time he'll make sure it's different.

Luffy was born in a very poor family, She only eat 2 times for a day, it made her so skinny, she got no choise beside to work in some market at her young age. Luffy father often tortures her and her mother. When Luffy mother and Luffy receive their salary her father always takes 2/3 of their salary, this makes them poorer. One day Luffy mother fell ill and couldn't work anymore. This makes Luffy have to work hard to pay for her mother medical expenses and the cost of eating for daily living. will luffy live like this forever?

This is a modern time based fanfiction. The characters don't act like themselves a lot in the book especially luffy, He's not as childish anymore.
