Meanwhile a 16 year old girl named Liv is mourning the loss of her close friend in Denver. When her parents and sister are forcefully recruited into the military group Operation Enduring Victory in order to fight off the swarm, she goes to live with her grandma in San Francisco. One day, she stumbles upon the hacker Cordelia, who seems to know more about the state of the world than most people. Together they discover the real cause of her friend's passing, and what appears to be the "cure" to the disease. This story contains spoilers for the games horizon zero dawn and horizon forbidden west. If you're planing on playing the games, do not read this fanfic and go experience it (you will not regret it!)
