But what if Katniss's example reached farther than they thought? What if the capital's children were not so blinded as everyone assumed? What if heroes can come from even the worst families? Even from President Snow's? Surely not.

Fifteen year old Alene Snow, granddaughter of the famous President Snow. Has received a message from her dead Grandfather to destroy Panem, and finish what he started. But when she arrives at district 12 on her way back to the Capitol. She meets young Nathaniel Everdeen, the twelve year old son of Katniss Everdeen. At first her thoughts are to kill him to break Katniss Everdeens heart. Instead she does something worse. Alene tricks Nathaniel to become her companion in destroying Panem.
