Solai was only supposed to be painting.
One quiet building. One unfinished mural. One late-night job that should've ended with paint on her hands and money in her pocket.
Instead, she witnesses Rome Easton murder a man in plain sight.
Rome is the son of a mafia don, raised around blood, power, and silence. He knows what happens to witnesses. He knows what his father would do if he found out Solai saw too much.
So he takes her.
At first, Rome only needs time to decide what to do with her. Keep her quiet. Scare her straight. Make sure she never speaks his name.
But Solai isn't easy to break, and Rome isn't as detached as he pretends to be.
The longer she stays trapped in his world, the harder it becomes to tell if Rome is her captor, her protector, or the most dangerous thing she's ever wanted.
