After a period full of turmoil, Vivian is looking for something else. Anything else to get her further in life. With barely any money left she was in desperate need of a job. Luckily there was an ad in the Birmingham newspaper, asking for maids at some big mansion. She would be mad to turn such an offer down! When she starts working there however, she finds out that being a maid at the Shelby residence is much more than she bargained for. Especially with a pair of blue eyes making her head spin. He simply picked up his glass of whiskey, finished it, and slammed it against the wall in front of him before walking out and slamming the door behind him. Thomas Shelby had made the biggest mistake of his life. He had finally pushed Amelia Brooks passed her limits and ruined the one person who brought him peace and happiness.

An adventurous assassin gets called to Small Heath to kill Thomas Shelby. She soon learns just how much the decision to accept this mission changes her. Thomas Shelby stirs long unfelt feelings, and she struggles to decide the fate of her future.
