Just before Christmas, an aspiring journalist, Roseanne Park, is sent to the foreign nation of Westfall to cover a press conference given by Princess Jennie, who is set to take the throne following her brother's arrest. With all the press surrounding the scandal of the Westfallian Royal family, Roseanne hopes this could be her big break, but upon her arrival, there is a mix up and she finds herself assigned the role of the palace tutor for Lady Ella. With only two weeks before the real tutor arrives, Roseanne scrambles to find an exclusive for Choi Networks as well as help Lady Ella deal with her recent family trauma, but the cat eyed princess proves to be quite a distraction.

Jennie and Chaeyoung have been best friends since the 6th grade. Both girls knew each other's secrets, and always were there for one another. When Jennie convinces Chaeyoung to join her club with her, Chaeyoung agrees. Both girls reads books together on occasion, and often helped each other when both are having writer's block. They told each other everything including crushes. Chaeyoung had came out as bisexual to Jennie in 8th grade, and Jennie completely accepted her.
