"I Want You To Sing For Me." Lisa feels a lump in her throat and a pain in her heart as she processes this ill-mannered man's request. ~ There's a thin line between a hunger to feel and thirst to rest ~ Anhedonia is my 1st poetry collection, which has a special place in my heart. Anhedonia is an inability to feel. This word came to my mind while writing these poems since its meaning could be perceived in many ways, just like my 1st poetry collection. While some of the poems highlight the darker days of depression, the other ones show the obsession of trying to strive for something - whether it be love, self-growth and expression, or rest. The inability to feel could mean the empty, hollow feeling in one's heart - just as much as it could mean one's inability to feel in a healthy way. I hope you find something in this humble collection that speaks to you, your heart, your life.
