The second letter is written from a perspective of Hop who found himself in a Russian prison. Just after the explosion at starcourt he was found by the Commie soldiers who took him to Russia. The past three months felt like eternity. He missed his daughter a lot, but he missed Joyce even more. He wanted to see her again. He wanted to tell her that she means the world to him and that he would do anything for her. He wanted to tell her just how much he loves her. In his letter he admits all his feelings. After knocking on the door for like the fifth time Hooper finally opened up the door himself and waited in the hallway. He didn't know how to act and what to say once she comes out.
