His friends get him a cultivation vessel, who seems to rebel against Cyno, despite the belief that cultivation vessels give themselves up to become vessels to escape prison, as most cultivation vessels are criminals. This cultivation vessel has been poisoned, and with his cultivation base, it should've been impossible for him to not be at least of the Void level. However, Cyno has never met him before.
