Despite the rocky start, Link eventually finds himself acquainted with friends Mipha and Renado, while Zelda deals with more familial issues. Slowly but surely, the world begins to show signs of it's demise; blood moons, skeletal monsters, and backstabbing machines. This is an ongoing story with a slow burn romance at its core. Their wildfire relationship endures childish twists and turns, but Link and Zelda will ultimately have to come together to face the calamity which threatens to plague Hyrule... There was a during the Calamity, where truths are told as death wishes and secrets are taken to the grave. There is an after the Calamity, where wrongs are righted and a fresh start is made. But tragedy seems to follow the Princess and the Hero where they go throughout the ages, and this age is no exception. ⚔ The first installment of the Between Them series. He and his friends are suffering from this new curse, taking on the powers and appearances of people they're not, and Lincoln - the kid who's good at skateboarding and bad at math - is the only one who can set things right. The chosen hero has never been so terrified. (This piece of fan fiction is a rewrite of one of my oldest works on the internet, written when I was around 13 or 14. This rewrite involves a more cohesive plot, more natural dialogue, as well as some utilization of the then-not-released Breath of the Wild lore. I hope you all like my second shot at this premise!)
