It felt like his heart broke in two as he kneeled there with guilt and sorrow for her. None of this was meant to happen. "I-I j-just... I just w-want to be your friend..." "Spinel..." He slowly brought her closer, giving her an understanding look. "I... I want to be your-" The ground rumbled and cut him off, flinging both Spinel and him apart as they fell to the pink crystal floor. "Spinel!?" "Steven!" Steven screamed, shooting up from his bed as the nightmare ended. Wait... his room? Wait!? Steven's Body!? Why... Why was he thirteen years old again?

You were a shadow kept behind a looking glass for only White Diamond's eyes to see. She sheltered you for your own good, as you were a gem of a darker shade. No, you were not a corrupt gem - not in the slightest. Though, your people on Homeworld considered you to be nothing but a myth - a Diamond covered in a shade of darkness. You were Black Diamond, an isolated gem that was never known to see the other bright and colourful gems that flourished on your planet. Was White keeping you hidden to prevent you from being rejected, or were you just needed to be kept under her shadow - composed of an overprotective cage? Story Progress: Currently being Written _________ The dawn of Homeworld began with Black and White Diamond starting the empire of the Great Diamond Authority. However, as Homeworld grew the two drifted apart. Black was quickly overshadowed by the creation of Yellow and Blue Diamond, leaving him with the title of the Forgotten Diamond. Slowly undercut and eventually subdued by his fellow diamonds he became Homeworld's greatest disappointment. But then came Pink Diamond and that's when everything changed for better or worse. (I don't own Steven Universe I only own my OC Black Diamond, fusions, the cover for the book, and added perspectives to the story.) NOTE: The Beginning of this story is under revision. She knew it wouldn't work but she had to do something to past the time before her meeting with blue and white about pink getting a planet. as she placed the last of the shards together a chime played in the room as yellows Pearl strolled in the doorway her arms in the diamonds salute. "My diamond, your meeting with blue and white diamond is going to start soon." The pearl said saluting to the yellow giantess. Yellow sighed and dismissed her pearl before walking out of the room herself. . . . Just when the gem on the desk to start floating and glowing

Steven, Homeworld, Danger... Diamonds... Those words don't sound too comforting together, right? Who said this was a comforting story? For Steven and the gems, things finally don't go right. When Steven is separated from Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl during the attempt to retrieve his father from the zoo, he is found, and quickly identified as a rose quartz gem... and not just any, but the rebellion leader's own son. Blue and Yellow Diamond create a master plan to finally eliminate the Crystal Gems, and Steven is the key to doing so. All they have to do is play a game of emotions, and things will soon fall into their hands, due to a very unlikely snitch. Will Steven be able to resist the Diamonds and escape, or will Steven's Universe crumple because of himself? (Rated T, to be on the completely safe side, but I seriously doubt there will be anything too bad in my fanfiction, as I am trying to make it as close to the style of the show as possible!
