Cursed. Minnie Reynolds was cursed at birth. Born on Halloween in rural Mississippi meant only one thing. She was a cursed. Devil child. That's what the town called her. Because of her birth, Minnie was unable to go to school, learn how to read, or go into town without being shunned. Although, she didn't need to travel outside of her home to remember what a terrible person she was. She dreamed vividly. Minnie saw stars, she could count every single one with her finger. But, as she grew, the dreams changed. She saw things that had never happened before, things which the future brought. An incident leads Minnie into an overcrowded and underfunded mental hospital, where she is labeled clinically insane. She was there so long that she too began to believe it, began to doubt her visions and swore to never listen to one ever again. Only, she broke that promise. After taking refuge in Brooklyn with a stranger couple, Will and Lou, Minnie adjusts to her new life. It's there she meets Steve and Bucky, who quickly become her closest friends.
