my more recent works, some of which used to be in my older book 'anhedonia'. the poems in anhedonia were written when i was a different person, in a different headspace, with different beliefs. i've grown and changed a lot since then, so i think it's only fair that the poems written as this new person, in a different headspace, with new beliefs get their own new book too.

Beatrice Berkowitz has everything a girl in Manhattan could want-fashion, parties, prestige and high society. Yet, below the surface of her glitzy lifestyle, something feels hollow. When she receives a letter from her estranged brother, announcing his impending arrival in New York City, Beatrice is unprepared for the emotions his return stirs up. But everything shifts again when she's granted custody of her late friend's young daughter-a thoughtful, curious child who quickly shatters Beatrice's facade. Now, forced to examine her choices, Beatrice finds herself wondering: Is this glamorous life she's living truly a life at all? Heartfelt and compelling, My Sister Beatrice is a story about family, loss, and the unexpected things we find when we open our hearts.
