A few years ago, a young man named Vergil had a child. He gave him up to take a job at a research facility. The facility does research on humans, experimenting on them with chemicals, medicine, and forms of torture to see how quickly they heal in response to such medicine and chemicals. Vergil has just been promoted as head doctor, getting first pick at all the guinea pigs. One boy he decides to experiment on looks too much like his son he had abandoned. Vergil can't bring himself to experiment on the young boy. He can't take him and leave otherwise they would both be killed. Now Vergil has to choose whether to do his job and stay alive, or do what's right and protect the boy and get both of them out alive.

Nero is back home and recovering from his broken leg. Summer school is over and the regular term has started, luckily Nero doesn't have to go back till his leg is healed. And with his leg having to be in the cast for 8 weeks, Nero has plenty of time to work out all his problems, and this time he is going to have his father help him through it.

Nero looks at Dante as he looks at the sword Dante threw to him. "Keep it. A kid like you could do good with a sword like that." He look at Dante once again. "Will I ever see you again?" He say as Dante turns around and waves a peace sign at him as he leaves. Nero though he would never see him again. He was dead wrong... YAOI, boy x boy, Dante x Nero

Nero is staying with his uncle Dante for the weekend but is being very disrespectful. Dante isn't gonna put up with it so he harshly punishes his nephew. The aftermath has brought up memories for Dante, memories of how close they used to be and how much fun they had. Another memory is brought up, the memory of what ruined it all.

Nero and Vergil have a fight and Nero, feeling upset and unwanted, runs away. Vergil is worried sick, having Dante go out and look for his son while he stays home in case he comes back. Dante finds Nero on the street and takes him back home. Vergil is ecstatic to have his only child back. They have a heartwarming reunion and a nice dinner, but then Nero has to face the repercussions of running away.

Nero is fed up with everything. He's failing all his classes, his girlfriend left him, people are always starting fights with him at school, and his dad always treats him like a baby. Tired of it all, Nero runs away, leaving Vergil devastated that his son would run away. Now Vergil is trying to find his son and Nero is trying to avoid him and everyone, except one person. He has 3 options: Go back home, try and make it on his own, or go to his uncle, Dante.

Nero, just a small, fragile child. He watched his father and uncle fight and it got very violent. He got scared and didn't know what to do, so he shut himself out from the real world and into a world of his own. His father and uncle are scared, hoping he will wake up, but it's up to Nero if he wants to wake up or not.

Vergil gets turned into a toddler, leaving no one to take care of him but Dante. Dante takes him in happily, eager to torment him.
