this is a collection of oneshots about nick and charlie from heartstopper, as i am currently living and breathing the series. some (or possibly most/all, i'm deciding as i go) of the works will be in all lowercase, as that is my current writing style. but there will ALWAYS be proper grammar and punctuation, because i am a mostly good english major. i am not from the uk, so some of the settings/vernacular/writing in general may be a bit wrong or off, but i will do my best to research what i can. i live for accuracy in stories.

Summary: Nick and Charlie are adults now, but their story is far from complete 🍂 A snippet from the book: "Char?" I perk up, no longer focusing on the soap plopping down from my head of hair to my arms and torso, "hm?" Nick lathers some more soap into my curls, causing them to awkwardly stick to my face. We're facing each other, our arms and legs tangled in one another. His eyes look sad. I can tell that he feels helpless, and I hate it. Before he can say anything I frantically pipe up, "I'm sorry, I'm so fucking sorry. I know how draining this must be, and how frustrating it is, but please don't give up on me." My lips are trembling as I speak, yet no tears can run. His eyes widened at my words, the look of sadness in his eyes intensifying, "I'm never going to give up on you Char, no one is. But you need to do me a favor, please don't give up on yourself." His words leave me shell-shocked, and I swear that a single teardrop manages to make it down my face, "I'm trying Nick, I am, but I'm getting tired." His hand reaches out to my face, immediately stroking my cheek once it grazes against my skin, "I know you are, baby." I can hear his voice start to break towards the end of his words. I can feel fear radiating off of him. Deeply exhaling, I manage to throw a small, genuine grin his way, "but I never plan on leaving you." (Uh- so basically I need more Heartstopper content in my life, SOOO I decided to supply myself and the public with our favorite couple PLUS the others 🫶)

This should be read after Teach my Heart to Stop or it will not make much sense. Nick and Charlie have returned from their romantic holiday to France, newly engaged. They have a lot of planning and talking to do and talking, well, leads to other things. School will be back soon and there will be many changes and new challenges for Mr. Spring and Mr. Nelson to overcome together.

Teach my Hearth to Stop is an alternate universe fan fiction inspired by Alice Oseman's Heartstopper characters Nick and Charlie and some of their friends. Inspiration is drawn from the books and the Netflix show. It is set 16 year's after Heartstopper began, but in a universe where Nick and Charlie had not yet met. Charlie still went to Truham Grammar School, but Nick did not, neither did Charlie's other love interest/bully Ben. Charlie was never actually outed at school either, but still bullied. Charlie is starting his new job as music teacher, he is nervous as this is his first teaching job. Who is that crazy man running out on the frosty school field so early in the morning, in shorts? Nick can't believe it's happening to him again, what is it with music teachers? But this time feels different. Sparks fly instantly between the PE teacher and new music teacher. It's not long before Mr. Spring and Mr. Nelson are falling hard for each other, but they both have their own demons from their past and new challenges to overcome together. This is one of the many universes where Nick and Charlie find each other. This series will be Heartstopper fanfiction written as a TV script. Essentially, my imaginings of what season 2 could bring us (with some cues taken from the comics, but also some changes that fall more in line with the series). I have all the faith that Alice and the rest of the team will deliver something far beyond my expectations. But, in this pause between seasons, us obsessed fans need all the content we can get. It helps me to practice my writing and also hopefully other people will like it as well!

Both Nick and Charlie have finished uni and are now looking forward to their new life together. Following the perfect pair as they experience life together, along with other characters from the Osemanverse. This is going to be very soppy and romantic. A very happy, feel good story.
