Each ninja has a hidden dark side, being intertwined with the cities underground in one way or another. come join us on this view into an AU where weather the ninja are good or bad isn't so black & white. ~&~ Kai, a detective working with the Ninjago City Police Department (NCPD), lived a simple life as an under the radar dirty cop when his younger sister, Nya, shows up on his door step. She's come to the city to study at the prestigious Ninjago University or NU and wants to know if she can stay with him. When Nya and Mayor Garmadon's wife, Misako, both get kidnapped it's up to Kai and a meshed together team to track them down. The club owner & drug king, Cole. The Back alley doctor and famous anthropologist, Zane. The Collage Student & Hacker, Jay. Will this rag tag team be able to bring them home safely?

Cole has been a ghost for two months. He wasn't so depressed over it, having gotten used to it. But, something else was going on with him. Jay was still getting over Nya. It was hard when she was always there, training side by side with the rest of the ninjas. Jay noticed Cole was acting strange. He seemed forgetful and less human. He floated around instead of walking around. He ate a lot more than he normally did and that was saying something. Cole didn't know where he was or why he was there. He didn't know the people he was surrounded by, but he could tell the blue wearing ginger was cute.

Jay was kidnapped and the Ninja finally get a lead and they do find Jay just... not the way they were expecting there's a bigger piece to the puzzle. a bigger more dangerous piece that is going to destroy the entire city if they don't stop it (Jay and Cole centric - written before I watched seabound - bruiseshipping)

Master Chen is on the loose, and the two teams of ninja have formed a tentative alliance in order to hunt him down. With the help of the other Elemental Masters, they just might stand a chance. However, as the stakes grow higher and lines between the ninja are blurred, the question remains of who will be left standing at the end of it all? Dark Sides is a Role Reversal AU series in which Wu was bitten by the Great Devourer instead of Garmadon. Wu still ends up training Kai, Jay, Zane, and Cole as his students. In response, Sensei Garmadon trains Nya, Pixal, Seliel, and Skylor (all elemental masters), and both sides are pitted against each other.

It's the Tournament of Elements! The evil Master Wu has returned to team up with Master Chen in an effort to defeat Sensei Garmadon and his team of ninja. In this alternate timeline, Garmadon was never bitten by the Great Devourer. But instead, his brother Master Wu, the King of the Underworld, is now devising a plan so he can wield the Weapons of Spinjitzu and rule over Ninjago. He needs the help of four young boys to retrieve the weapons for him. But first he must train them up and teach them his dark ways. (Cover image is my own)
