Adrian Hanson is a 24-year-old, gay man, who gets left at the altar on his wedding day by his fiancee, and they had been together for 5 years in total, and engaged for 2, and he thought everything between them was fine. He decides to move out of the town they'd been living, and move to another state because he can, and he works remotely from home, and he needs a fresh start from the place that he and his ex-fiancee had been living together. He takes a couple of weeks to coordinate everything - finding a home to rent until he can search in person for a home to purchase, letting his job know that he's moving, and the new address once he's moved, packing the belongings he's taking, and selling or donating the rest, and notifying everyone important to him about what he's doing. Despite knowing that he's upsetting a few select people by moving states, thankfully they don't guilt him into staying.

Kenji Smith lives with his older brother Kai, for 4 years now after being beaten by his dad, and kicked out of the family home for coming out as gay on his 15th birthday. He works at the same company as his brother in the mail room and delivers the mail. Kenji is a quiet and shy 19-year-old. His best friend is William Harrison. Nathan Peterson lives alone and is the successful owner of 'Peterson Architectural Design Company'. He's 30-years-old, and his employees love him, and so does everyone else. His best friend Alexsander Moore works for him as an Architect, and is married, and has a 4-year-old daughter, who is Nathan's goddaughter. Nathan meets Kenji one day when one of the other employees gives Kenji a hard time.
