Farkle had a rough summer before the gang's first year of high school started. His parents had many angry quarrels that ended in divorce, and now with only one parent at the house with him, he often finds himself alone at home. He would have turned to his friends, but Lucas had gone back to Texas with Zay and he couldn't get ahold of Maya or Riley. For the first time in a while, Farkle felt alone. Now the gang is in high school and still in Corey's class with him. But something about Farkle is very different, and the gang isn't so sure they can get the old Farkle back.
