I am continuing this story from @The_sunniest_angels, so if it isn't as good as it was before it is because of a), I am not as good a writer, and b), I don't know what was going on in their head when they were writing this story, and because of that, updates might be slow, but I WILL finish the story, I swear on the River Styx... READ THE ORIGINAL STORY SO THIS ONE MAKES SENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!! First, let me explain the Kingdom of the Sun. The richest, most popular people are royalty. Then people who own land. Then people who do not. Then thieves And at the bottom are Nekos. Nekos are cat/humans, In case you didn't know. They are used as servants for the rich. They have specific rules to follow and aren't treated well. Okay, got that? Good. Let's move on. Will Solace is prince, about to become king, of the kingdom of the sun. He has been having more and more fights with his father lately and finally just decides to run away. But before he goes, he sets the palace Nekos free. But one catches his eye. - Nico Di Angelo is a Neko. His sister was killed by the king and he was taken from his family at a very young age to work as a servant at the castle. Will takes Nico with him when he runs from the castle. But what happens when the king finds them? ALL CHARACTERS BELONG TO RICK RIORDAN!!! Dear Lords and Ladies of the Land, On the occasion of Prince William Solace's 18th Anniversary Masquerade, all the lovely young ladies of the land have been invited. On the last of the three days of festivities, Prince William's bride shall be chosen. Royally, The Royal Palace Young ladies... Nico certainly was young at 17 (and very much lovely), but not quite a lady. At least, not yet. Nico - a young lady? No, to be that he would need to make a few changes. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - So this is a Solangelo (Will x Nico) Cinderella AU fanfiction. But I categorised it as romance because what else do Will and Nico do except be insanely in love? Anyways, I hope you enjoy fairytale AUs as much as I do, and please do vote and comment X)

Nico is a thief, and Will is a prince, and they are very doomed. Really, it probably started when Nico robbed the king. Or maybe when he winked at the prince from across the marketplace. Or maybe when he orchestrated thrilling castle escapes, humiliating the royal family and guard without so much as breaking a sweat. Or, maybe it was just when he first noticed that Prince William is incredibly handsome. Yeah, that's probably what doomed them, actually--because after that, any hope of living relatively normal lives flew completely out the carriage window. Yay! Another Solangelo story, but Nico is a Neko. For those of you who don't know what a Neko is your gonna find out!

In the busy city of New York, there is a pet shop called "Cat's Meow". Here, you can get any type of cat or kitten imaginable. But, this shop has a dirty little secret. In this world, there are such things as a human and cat hybrid called "Nekos". Many people dislike Nekos. They don't consider them human. In their minds, they were as filthy as any wild animal. The owner of "Cat's Meow", Octavian, captures Nekos and abuses them until they become submissive. Even if some of the Nekos he catches are already submissive. He then trains them to stay in cat form when humans are around and to never attack a human. He's gotten away with this for years. Now, this story isn't about him. It's about one Neko who has suffered Octavian's wrath, Nico di Angelo. Octavian turned this 14 year old Neko from a stubborn and independent boy to a meek and obedient pet. Every day Nico follows the rules Octavian set for all the Nekos in his shop. 1) Never try to escape. 2) When getting adopted, don't fight the humans. 3) Never attack him or any human. And most importantly, Never ever EVER leave cat form when a human is around. Nico's been content in the small shop, savoring the bits of food Octavian gives all the cats to share when he actually decides to feed them and following the rules to the point. But even that doesn't protect him from Octavian's cruelty. He was sure he was going to die in that old shop, alone. But, that changed the day he came. Will Solace. Will was 15 years old when he met Nico. After years of begging his parents for a pet, they finally agreed to let him get a cat. Will was overjoyed. He picked a small, black cat to be his. He had no idea that his new, shy little kitty was actually a boy that would change his life. (I don't own the cover nor the characters in this story. Everyone is born with a phrase on their wrist. Nearly everyone, at least. This phrase, as many has concluded, is the most important thing their soulmate ever says to them. Most have the simple "I Love You," Some even have "I'm Breaking Up With You-" for times fate is wrong. Will's already met his soulmate. She was the worst person he ever knew. He wasn't all too happy that she was who he was supposed to be with, but, well, they said each other's words. After getting out of that relationship. he gets a tattoo over the words and learns to stop trusting fate. Nico doesn't care much for a soulmate. He's a bit too busy trying to live, trying to stay on his feet, and trying not to kill stupid customers at his stepmom's store. Though his friends-namely, his sister-insist that he find his fate, he doesn't try. The fun thing about fate, though, is that it's going to happen. Whether they trust it, or care for it, or not.
