This is a Plastic Beach era Murdoc x reader!!! Everything that takes place in this fanfic follows along with the storyline of that album, along with the prior two. (Y/n) was a small town musical performer, simply playing covers of her favorite bands at local bars; one of those bands happening to be the Gorillaz. ---------- Murdoc is canonically in his mid 30's while this album takes place, so y/n will be around the same age, but I will let the reader leave that exact age up to them. (Nothing weird, PLEASE!!!) There WILL be smut, and there will be angst and tension. Just read along and watch it all play out, enjoy!<3

Murdoc was out on a run to get some instruments to start a new band during a small break up of Gorillaz. His second stop was a small music shack to get some new guitars. With the cops on his ass already, all he wanted to do was be in and out and recruit some people. But you ruined his entire plan.

Murdoc was looking for a few extra guests to feature on Plastic Beach, and decided he'd go into town and choose one of those usually dirty street performers to keep for a while, maybe have the featured, or maybe just to have them work there. Murdoc assumed that because said person would be performing on the streets, they wouldn't be missed and no one would attempt to search for them. He was right about this, for when he swept you up and took you back to the beach, no one even batted an eye.

It's 1982 and you moved with your dad to England for a job opportunity. You're a bit bookish, and thanks to exceptional marks, you were moved up a grade. While at school you meet one of the resident delinquents, Murdoc Niccals, and form an unlikely friendship. *Mature warning for rude and derogatory language, mentions of alcohol and drug use, references of abuse, and other sensitive topics* there isn't going to be much romance besides some mutual pining until the end(if I stick with it, we'll see lol) so if you're looking for something hot n' heavy, this isn't it, sorry.
