Lunch went by pretty quickly, and we were back to classes soon enough. I'd forgotten to get a book from my locker, so I quickly went to get it. I was leaning on the locker next to mine as I quickly scanned my schedule on my locker door, when warm air fanned the side of my face. "Move." Being the excellent human being I am, I jumped out of fright, flinging the heavy calculus textbook in my hand backwards. I heard a grunt and turned to find the person behind me now hunched over as they held onto a part of their face. "Oh God! I'm so sorry!" I panicked. And then he looked up. The first thing I noticed was his short, dark hair. It looked so smooth, and I almost reached out to play with it. My eyes trailed down to his strong jaw line, down to his broad shoulders. I didn't even realize that I was biting my lip as I further inspected the Adonis before me. His arm flexed, bringing my attention to the amber eye he was now covering. It was him. Six. The most popular and dangerous guy in school. And I'd managed to injure him with my calculus textbook. I'm dead. *********** #11 Teen Fiction - 31 December 2015 #15 Teen Fiction - 16 December 2015 #16 Teen Fiction - 16 December 2015

"You're so lame." Alexander comments as he walks into the kitchen. "Shut up, I don't care." I scoff as I continue to make myself a sandwich. "You know, maybe guys will notice you more once you stop wearing your father's clothes." He teases and at that moment, I turn around to face him and give him a fuming glare. "Leave me alone." I hiss through gritted teeth before storming out of the kitchen, leaving behind my sandwich. ✕❤︎✕❤︎✕❤︎ A 16 year old girl named Courtney is not your average teenager. "Who the hell are you?" A boy demanded. He had tousled, chestnut hair. His green eyes were wide with confusion and red from irritation. The boy was also shirtless, paired with red and blue striped boxers. He was, after all, attractive. His abs shown a deep indent in his chest and I forced my eyes not to linger. "Who are you?" I sputtered. He squinted. "I'd like to think you have the common decency to answer me first. You just sprayed me with mace." I frowned, not enjoying his attitude, and crossed my arms over my chest. "Lindsey. Lavender's best friend." I explained as if he should've known. "Oh I'm sorry that wasn't included in the handbook." He spit. I smirked. "Well I'm sleeping here." "So am I." Oh my... That voice and that laugh. Those tattoos. Those muscles. Every single square inch of that man is pure, unadulterated perfection. Screw his reputation. I don't care that the local news has labeled him a "vicious criminal." The entire town may be afraid of him, but I'm not. I've known bad people in my life, my mom being the worst. They say the eyes are the window to the soul. If that's true, Rooter's soul is good and pure. I don't care what anyone says. I want him. Bad. And my wish comes true. After Rooter saves me from a pair of dangerous thugs, we embark on a passionate romance. But I quickly learn that while Rooter isn't quite as evil as everyone believes he is, he also isn't quite as perfect as I thought him to be either. He's as infuriating as he is sweet and as secretive as he is sexy. Worst of all is his crazy ex-friend-with-benefits who won't go away. Then comes an accusation of a brutal crime. Can our fledgling love survive? ***This story contains adult language and themes.*** ***Please note, this is NOT, I repeat NOT, the final edited version of the story.
