A reimagined fairy tale, adapted for a lams fic (I really do intend on coming up with a better description, I'm sorry) •I'm not one hundred percent on the title

It was an interesting one, which started off rocky at first, but ended up turning into something great. Well, it did for the rest of high school, anyway. But everyone also knows that relationships just don't last like they used to, especially high school ones. So what happens when they go to separate schools in New Jersey? John Laurens seems to find himself fascinated in his new art school, invested with his new friends. Alexander Hamilton is doing his damnedest to keep the relationship alive. ~~ SEQUEL TO HOMEWORK - Technically, you don't have to read the first to understand, but it will help and be nice! John is a 22-year-old college student who attends a state university in New York. He has always been a bit of a slacker, but his dad has supported him financially up until now. However, his dad recently cut him off for being gay. John is struggling to make ends meet. To pay his bills and afford tuition, he started working at McDonald's a few months ago. One day, while working the drive-thru, a handsome guy around his age comes through. John is immediately struck by his good looks and charm. They chat for a moment, and John feels like he's found a chance for love and a brighter future. Keep in mind this was written in like, 2017 or 2018, so there's a lot of things in here that are here simply because of the year that it was written. All the nicknames, phrases, couples, plots, etc. are all the way they are because that's what was popular at the time and I wrote this at 14. Now at 18, I check up on this occasionally just to see how it's doing, and I've noticed a lot of comments about these little things, so I thought I would add this note. I'm glad that people are still enjoying my work, even though this one is definitely shitty compared to my more recent works on AO3, but just keep in mind this is about five years old and is therefore going to be out of date with some fandom things. It's like a path to the next best thing in life. Somewhere where there's no sickness, or sadness. With his baby sister, his mom, and they're happy. That's what John always thought, anyway.
