The wind howled through the bare branches, a chilling reminder of winter's harsh grip on the land. Snowflakes danced in the moonlight, casting an eerie glow over Malfoy Manor. Inside, the warmth of the hearths did little to comfort Narcissa Malfoy as she readied herself for bed. The manor, usually a fortress of calm and control, seemed unusually restless tonight. A sharp, unexpected knock echoed through the grand hallways, startling Narcissa. It was late, far too late for visitors. She hesitated, her heart pounding as she approached the front door. The knock came again, more insistent this time. She reached for her wand, clutching it tightly as she opened the heavy door. The icy wind whipped around her, but no one was in sight. Narcissa frowned, scanning the empty grounds. Just as she was about to close the door, a faint whimper caught her attention. She looked down and gasped. At her feet was a small basket, swaddled in heavy furs. Inside, a baby girl with striking white hair and vivid purple eyes peered up at her, innocent and curious. . . . .
