It is protected by the Guardians, humans revived by the Traveler, a planet sized entity that controls the Paracausal power known as Light. These two forces of humanity have remained separate for decades until a lone Guardian is cast into the Imperium's territory. What happens when the Matriarchs cross paths with a Soldier of the Traveler? What will this encounter mean for all of humanity and its battle against the forces that wish to destroy them?
