BOOK #1 Serendipity (n) finding something good without looking for it - Marauders Era Fanfiction - Eva Taylor. Sixth year. First female keeper for the Gryffindor Quidditch team. Paints to escape. Number one Beatles fan in all of Hogwarts. Can't walk down the stairs without tripping. Proud beyond belief of her Muggle-Born status. Unknowingly the subject of Sirius Black's affections. - He leaned onto the counter and smirked, letting a bit of hair fall into his face and seductively watching her. "You think I have the charm to pull something like that off?" She blushed unintentionally. "I- I think you could charm the socks off of Voldemort himself if you tried." "Maybe that's how we win the war," he said jokingly. "We've been going about it all wrong. Dumbledore can just send me. I'll walk up to Voldemort's door, wink at him, and my smooth charisma and devastatingly good looks will have him dead on the ground by dawn." - 1st Place winner of the 1989 Harry Potter Awards for the Marauders Era! - Rankings: 12 in #maraudersfanfiction 2 in #siriusblack 4 in #themarauders 1 in #marauders 13 in #harrypotter 1 in #peterpettigrew 2 in #remus 1 in #padfoot 1 in #minervamcgonagall 1 in #jkrowling

Once there was a young and passionate girl by the name of Ariah. She lived in a poor environment, doing everything in her power to help out her family. On the other side was a boy, Sirius who was part of a high wealthy family. Sirius was arrogant and blind to the outside world. The two were an unlikely pair. On a rather stormy evening, Sirius had gotten in a fight with his family and made his way for town where he ran into a beautiful young girl who was trying to bargain for a roll of bread. Seeing the need to help her, Sirius bought the bread for the girl who introduced herself as Ariah. When the two locked eyes, it was as if the World spoke to them. It was love at first sight and they called for an immediate marriage. When Sirius' parents heard of the marriage, they were outraged. Their son would not marry a simple peasant. They called off the wedding and when the two decided to go behind their parents back, things turned for the worst. In a blind outrage, Sirius' mother killed Ariah, claiming that her son would not disgrace the family name. Distraught and heart broken, Sirius held onto Ariah as she lay dying, praying for a miracle. And a miracle he received as a witch approached. She promised him a life with the girl as stars, saying that the two made each other brighter and therefore could light up the whole sky with their love. Sirius agreed, giving up everything he had to be with the girl he loved whole heartedly and the two spent all eternity together, burning bright in each other's presence. {First of a series I plan on making}

The Orlov family name was one which struck fear into the heart of many a Russian; muggle and wizard folk alike. To any other, it was just a name which, after the initial pique of interest at it's foreign sound, would blend into the background like the rest. Unless, of course, you yourself came from one of the sacred pure blood families. Russian or not, you would come to fiercely respect the Orlov dynasty. However, this seemingly flawless family, not unlike all others, has its secrets. One in particular that could destroy not only the reputation of the Orlovs, but one that could end the family's succession.

Pragma: long lasting love. Love that requires true commitment that comes from understanding, compromise and tolerance. It is referred to as "standing in love" rather than "falling in love". **** Briony Carter is a Hufflepuff with a strong will and a mind of her own. She has the best friends in the world, a loving brother, an adorable kitten, and on top of all of that, a burning hatred for Sirius Black and the self proclaimed "Marauders".

"Come on! We want to get a good seat!" She smiled brightly. "Yeah, I'm coming--" She was entranced by the floating candlesticks and the night sky visible through the ceiling...at least that is what it looked like to her even though she was aware that it was enchanted. "Wow," she whispered to herself and she walked head on into something that wasn't there a moment prior and she looked directly in front of her and saw the loosely knotted tie in burgundy and gold over an adams apple and she looked up into the gray eyes that were looking down at her physical attributes with appreciation. "Ooo! Cushy," he said in a low voice meant for only her to hear. "Damn," she said in a low voice. "You certainly are cute." The handsome boy raised his brow and looked her over as his mouth carried a lop-sided grin. He opened his mouth to speak, but she placed her finger over his lips. "Too bad you're a jerk." She said, then she winked at him and skirted past him. Sirius' face flushed pink and he craned his neck to watch her walk away, as well as the hem of her skirt swishing to and fro. She sat down on the bench and brought her legs up and swung them around and she turned her head slowly and looked him over slowly and smiled to herself as she turned her attention to her classmates. Sirius raised his brow. "Challenge accepted."

"She fell in love with the stars when she saw them in his eyes." • Adria Hopkins was not as she appeared. The quiet, mysterious Gryffindor to all was merely the shy, awkward girl she had let herself believe. With no friends, and only her notebook to keep her company, filled with written poems which she clung to, her life was bland and boring. But as her third year rolls in at Hogwart's School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Adria is in for a shock when she catches the eye of four boys. And with a terrible prank, only slightly gone wrong, and a new-found friendship with her red head roommate, Adria's third year is a lot different from what she imagined it would be. •Marauders era• •I'm terrible at descriptions•

With the exception of Mirabella Plunkett in the 1800s, the idea of merfolk and wizarding kind mingling together was unheard of, and otherwise, considered to be taboo. Born to a mermaid and wizard, Nixie Dover is believed to be the first of her kind, half-landish, half-seavish. The morning of her birth, things go awry when her mother is suddenly taken away and forced into exile by seavish matriarchy, leaving her to be raised by her father alone on land. For the next eleven years, Nixie is raised as a witch, however, life is far from simple. For as long as she can remember, the waters outside of her home call to her. Her father seems drawn to the waves as well, staring at them every morning as if he is waiting for someone. However, the answers start to unravel when her mother reappears and reveals herself to be a mermaid. Suddenly, the stares and whispers that Nixie has heard throughout her childhood make sense. She is a half-breed, stuck between two worlds where she feels like an outsider. To add to the chaos, Nixie receives her acceptance letter to none other than Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Determined to blend in and hopefully make some friends, Nixie attempts to hide her lineage, but she can only hide who she really is for so long. Especially when a boy by the name of Sirius Black seems so utterly determined to be part of her world. Initially, Nixie believes him to be nothing but trouble, but as time progresses, he proves to be much more than a troublemaker. Together, they must face the hardships of growing up, fighting for what they believe in, and hopefully, surviving a war. [Book 1 of Nixie Dover] [Companion book to Tightly Knit] [Cover by cendriia]
