The Upside Down and Hawkins have merged into one. Some fled, and others were no longer breathing... nonetheless, the survivors of Vecna's wrath all work towards getting some resemblance of a normal life back. This story takes place a few months after the split, in the winter of Hawkins, 1986, and focuses heavily on how Joyce and Hopper carry on with their lives, together.
