This is a Bonkai story I started almost two years ago, but never finished until now. It takes place when Bonnie, Kai, Elena, and Damon travel back to the 1903 Prison World. The plan is for Damon to help Bonnie trap Kai in the Prison World, but things don't go as planned and some second chances are worth the risk.

When Kai Parker comes back to Mystic Falls from Portland, Oregon after attending to Gemini Coven business, he looks forward to time with his girlfriend and daughter. However, upon discovering his girlfriend left him and abandoned their daughter, Kai realizes he's left to raise her alone. After his nanny informs him she needs to resign, he hires a replacement. However, she winds up not only taking care of the baby, but him, as well.
